"Bud" Benton     

1928 Ford Model A 2dr Sedan

When Bud purchased this car in August of 2002. Before that the car had been garaged since the early 80's. This is Buds  first try at building a street rod. So far Bud has done most of the work himself and it appears that he is doing an excellent job. Nice achievement  for his first street rod.

The little '28 Sedan has a 1987 Corvette 355 ci  zzz motor with an early 400 Turbo Hydro automatic transmission coupled to a shortened 9 inch ford rear end.  Up front, the car is equipped with a 1965 Corvair front suspension with camaro hubs and Volvo 4-wheel disk brakes. This was the setup to have back in the 80's (Very popular).

The sedan is also equipped with dual 8 gallon fuel cells located under the splash aprons on each side of the car.

P13 - The members of the Rusty Nuts help put in a metal top for Bud

P14 - Added tail pan made from Honda hatch. Put exhaust thru it and added 1950 Pontiac tail lights.  

P15 - The sedan looks great with its new top. This was ready for 2005 NSRA Oklahoma City

P16 - Check out the new dash.. '32 w/milled billet panel and six gauges.. Oh! it's green !!!

P17 - Bud's making a few changes for the '06 season. He is changing over to steel wheels with small hubcaps, and is also going to change the '50 Pontiac tail lights to1958 Chevrolet tail lights. Really like the gray green combo.
